Beatbox superstar Blake has elevated the Idol competition to a whole new level this season //with his unique performances laden with hip-hop beatbox beats that America is loving. Blake, who auditioned in Seattle, says he first performed at age 5.
It is somewhat surprising to learn that this contestant actually owns K-Fed’s album, but after Blake won the judges’ hearts on the Idol stage, America had nothing to do but take notice.
The 25-year-old, who dreams of singing onSaturday Night Live, has performed highly unique versions of 311’s “All Mixed Up,” Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity” and Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” in the weeks leading up to the Top 12 cut.
